Who sends these messages
Calverda LLC operates the Tartan Ryder service from 169 Madison Ave STE 15023, New York, NY 10016. SMS messages are delivered through Twilio Inc., our messaging provider, from a US toll-free number associated with our account.
What you opted in to
Tartan Ryder is invitation-only. You receive SMS only after an event organizer has invited your phone number and you have signed in by completing a one-time passcode. By signing in, you consent to receive transactional SMS related to the events you participate in. Tartan Ryder does not send marketing messages, promotional offers, or third-party content over SMS.
Message types you may receive
- One-time passcodes for sign-in.
- Event reminders (round start times, entry windows closing, scheduled deadlines).
- Activity from other participants directed at you — side-challenge proposals, acceptances or declines, scoring updates, and score reconciliation entries requiring your confirmation.
- Outcome notifications — group competition results, side-challenge results, and disputes that involve you.
- Administrative notices from the organizer of an event you are in.
All messages relate to score tracking and reconciliation among invited participants. No real money is exchanged on the platform; any dollar amounts referenced reflect informal score tallies between participants and are settled directly between the participants outside the platform.

How often we send
Frequency varies. During an active golf event you may receive several messages over the course of a day; outside of an event window you may receive none. Typical participants receive fewer than five messages on a competition day. Message frequency is determined entirely by your activity within the events you join — Tartan Ryder does not schedule outbound campaigns.
Opting out — STOP
You can opt out of all Tartan Ryder SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message. Aliases including STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT are also honored. After you opt out you will receive a single confirmation message and then no further SMS from Tartan Ryder. To resume, reply START or UNSTOP from the same number.
You may also disable categories of notification or all SMS in your preferences inside the app under Settings, while keeping in-app notifications on.

Reply HELP to any message to receive a short reply with this contact information. For anything not covered, email support@calverda.com. We respond within two business days.
Cost
Tartan Ryder does not charge to send or receive these messages. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. Contact your carrier with questions about your plan.
No third-party sharing
Mobile information you provide to Tartan Ryder, including your phone number and the contents of any SMS opt-in or opt-out, is used only to deliver messages on behalf of Calverda LLC and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
